TOPIC: The Role of the Analyst in CPTED

Policing is an equal balance of crime mitigation and crime prevention. One of the most common methodologies applied for the latter is Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), however, the significance of accurate, timely crime intelligence continues to be underemphasized. This training provides a brief introduction into CPTED and ways to bolster analysts’ role in crime prevention in their jurisdictions.
